Job Summary:

Miale Solar, a leading solar Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) company, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resource Manager to join our team. The HR Manager will oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes, ensuring the alignment of HR initiatives with the company’s business strategy.

Responsibilities:

   1.Recruitment and Staffing:

  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top talent in the solar industry.
  • Conduct interviews and manage the selection process.
  • Coordinate onboarding processes to integrate new hires effectively.
  1. Employee Relations:
  • Address employee concerns, mediate conflicts, and foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Implement and manage employee engagement and recognition programs.
  • Ensure a productive and conducive working environment.
  1. Performance Management:
  • Develop and implement performance management systems tailored to Miale Solar Inventions Limited.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and provide constructive feedback.
  • Identify training and development needs to enhance employee skills.
  1. Administrative Support
  • Office Management
  • Oversee daily administrative operations, including office supplies, maintenance, and vendor management.
  • Implement and maintain efficient office systems and procedures.
  • Records & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including contracts, performance evaluations, and compliance documentation.
  • Prepare and present HR metrics and reports to senior management.

5 .Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with Kenyan labor laws and industry-specific regulations.
  • Update and maintain HR policies and procedures.
  • Conduct investigations and manage disciplinary actions as needed.
  1. Compensation and Benefits:
    1. Oversee compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitive and fair remuneration.
    2. Conduct salary benchmarking and manage payroll processes.
    3. Negotiate with benefits providers and manage employee benefits programs.
    4. Training and Development:
    5. Develop and implement training programs to enhance technical and professional skills.
    6. Support career development and succession planning.
    7. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
  2. HR Metrics and Reporting:
    1. Track and analyze HR metrics such as turnover rates, employee satisfaction, and absenteeism.
    2. Prepare and present HR reports to senior management.
    3. Utilize data to drive improvements in HR processes and policies.

Qualifications:

  1. Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  1. Experience:
  • Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role, preferably in the solar or construction industry.
  • Experience with labor laws and employment equity regulations in Kenya.
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
  1. Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to strategize and implement effective HR policies.
  1. Certifications:
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., CHRP) is a plus.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
