This project is expected to avoid 147,499 kgCO2e annually, and around 2,949.9 metric tons of CO2 emissions annually throughout its 20-year lifespan. About 253,000 kWh are produced by the 164 kWp Grid-Tie Solar PV System, accounting for about 35% of the current electricity usage.

Signode Project

This 168 kWp Grid-Tie Solar PV Plant was financed through a 20-year PPA, providing Signode with reliable, cost-effective, and green energy for the long term.

Fairoils EPZ Project

A 141 kWp Grid-Tie Solar PV Plant powers Fairoils, reducing costs while promoting sustainability. The project was financed through a 10-year lease, allowing flexibility and energy savings.

Tenri Project

A 72 kWp Grid-Tie Solar PV Plant powers Tenri’s operations, ensuring reliable energy. Financed through a 10-year PPA, the project enhances productivity and cuts costs sustainably.

Van Den Berg Roses Main

The 98 kW peak capacity solar PV system generates around 160,000 kWh, accounting for 35% of the current electricity use. The project cuts 93,280 kgCO2e annually, translating to 932.8 metric tons of CO2 emissions over its 10-year lifespan.

Van Den Berg Roses Lake-side

This project at Van Den Berg Roses Simba A is a significant transition towards sustainable energy. By generating 138,800 kWh annually, this 98 kWp Grid-Tie Solar PV System meets nearly 62.4% of the facility’s energy demand while reducing 80,920.4 kgCO2e yearly. Over its 10-year lifespan, the project will prevent 809,204 kgCO2e, ensuring a cleaner environment.

Van Den Berg Roses Simba B

This 59 kWp Grid-Tie Solar PV System reduces 46.6 metric tons of CO2 emissions annually while providing 80,000 kWh, or approximately 33% of the facility’s energy needs. The project will ensure a cleaner atmosphere by preventing 419.7 metric tons of CO2 emissions annually over its 9-year lifespan.

Home Kena

Over its 20-year lifespan, the project will prevent an estimated 7,228 metric tons of CO2 emissions yearly. The 402 kWp Grid-Tie Solar PV System generates approximately 619,929 kWh yearly, which makes up around 50.4% of the current electricity consumption.

Fairoils Kitengela

This 141 kWp Grid-Tie Solar PV System reduces 94.7 metric tons of CO2 emissions annually while providing 162,600 kWh, or almost 32.3% of the facility’s energy needs. The project will ensure a cleaner essential oils farming and processing by preventing 1137.5 metric tons of CO2 emissions over its 12-year lifespan.

Alicia Bakers and Confectioners

Over its 5-year lifespan, the project will prevent an estimated 62.3 metric tons of CO2 emissions yearly, and 311.9 metric tons over the period. The 81 kWp Grid-Tie Solar PV System generates more than 107 metric tons of CO2 emissions yearly, which makes up around 32% of the facility’s energy demand during its operations.

Uwezo Millers Ltd.

This 320 kWp hybrid solar PV system reduces 266.3 metric tons of CO2 emissions annually while meeting 52.5% of the facility’s energy needs with an annual generation of 456,849 kWh. The initiative will ensure a cleaner production environment by preventing 5326.8 metric tons of CO2e throughout its 20-year lifespan.

By generating 142,780kWh annually, this 152 kWp Hybrid Solar PV System meets 52.8% of the facility’s energy demand while reducing 83.2 metric tons of CO2 emissions yearly. Over its 20-year lifespan, the project will prevent 1664.8 metric tons of CO2e, ensuring a cleaner environment.

Kutoka Ardhini (Lunga Lunga)

This 42 kWp Hybrid Solar PV System reduces emissions by nearly 32,065 kgCO2 annually and stabilize energy costs for the factory. With the ability to operate in island mode, the system ensures energy reliability, even during grid outages. Over a 10-year lease period, this installation supports energy independence while promoting environmental conservation and economic growth.

Fairoils Kutoka Ardhini Ltd – Mt Kenya, Nanyuki

The 24 kWp solar PV system installed at Fairoils Kutoka Ardhini in Nanyuki highlights Miale Solar’s commitment to sustainable energy solutions. By reducing grid reliance, this 24 kWp solar PV system prevents approximately 16,499 kgCO2 emissions annually and ensures 28% of the facility’s energy needs are met with renewable power.

Outspan Hospital

The 250 kWp hybrid solar PV system installed at Outspan Hospital is a testament to how renewable energy can transform healthcare. Meeting over 55% of the hospital’s energy needs, the system reduces emissions by 213,381 kgCO2 annually and significantly cuts energy costs. CO2 reduction aligns with global efforts to mitigate climate change.

Agrodeal Kenya

The 250 kWp hybrid solar PV system installed at Agrodeal Kenya demonstrates major herbs growers in Kenya can engage in responsible farming practices by transitioning to renewable energy. Meeting over 59.1% of the factory’s energy needs, the system reduces emissions by 89,782 kgCO2 annually, significantly cutting energy costs.

Signode Packaging

The 232 kWp solar photovoltaic (PV) system at Signode Packaging marks a dramatic shift toward sustainable energy adoption among Kenya’s major packaging companies. Replacing grid electricity with clean solar energy, this project reduces emissions by nearly 117,623 kgCO2 annually, stabilizing energy costs for the packager.

Ruga Quarry

This system shows how mining and construction companies can engage in sustainable practices by transitioning to renewable energy. The system reduces emissions by 153,912 kgCO2 annually, translating to at least 3078 metric tons of CO2 emissions over its 20-year lifespan. It ensures uninterrupted energy for critical mining operations, and significant energy cost reduction.

Stonefield Company Ltd

This project demonstrates how emerging Kenyan quarries can adopt sustainable practices by switching to renewable energy. Over the course of its 20-year lifespan, the installed system is expected to cut emissions by at least 6,996 metric tons of CO2, or 349,800 kgCO2 annually.

East Africa Spectre

The company’s operations benefit from lower energy costs, improved reliability, and environmental sustainability, directly impacting staff welfare, community welfare, and operational efficiency.

Batians Peak Serviced Apartments

This 42 kWp grid-tie solar photovoltaic (PV) system at Batians Peak Serviced Apartments in Kilimani, Nairobi reduces nearly 26,410 kgCO2e annually – based on its current annual grid consumption of 45,300 kWh. The project will ensure a cleaner atmosphere by preventing 158.4 metric tons of CO2 emissions over its 6-year lifespan.
